A polumna is a traditional mexican firecracker, they are simple and very loud for what they use. They also take like two minutes you make.
What you will need -printer paper
-fast black powder
-scissors
-1/16 visco fuse
-tape (i prefer electrical
First you will need to cut a around one inch piece of paper, the long way (one inch width)
Now bend the bottom left corner up to the right corner, this pic will help
Now do that three more times in a row
Now pinch it together so it opens, should look like this
put your powder in, 3/4 of the way
cut a piece of around 2-3" piece of the fuse and stick it in the corner like so
Now fold it all up, and start to tape it, TAPE IT TIGHT!
Here is your finished polumna, I bent the corners up so no gas could escape.
They should make a great bang with an impressive light.

If you were to make one of these large enough to kill a small animal, then yes it is a bomb, but this egg is simply instructions on how to make a small explosive for entertainment purposes only, which is unable to do very much serious damage outside of exploding in your hand.

Sep 09, 2007 7:19 am - Both you AE and Alle are wrong when it comes to defining a "bomb" and the differences. First off this firecracker uses black powder and a paper shell to create a report, the shell is relatively weak and creates (literally) a LOUD pop noise. If you burned the black powder by itself, it would just deflagrate, it wouldn’t explode. Even if you held this firecracker in your hand and lit it off, it wouldn’t blow off fingers, just would be quite painful- in fact the MOST damage this could realistically do would be a fuse burn and that’s about it.
Your theory of "bombs and firecrackers have no difference" is bullshit, sorry if it sounds as if I’m being a prick but it’s the truth. Who draws the line between bombs and firecrackers? The government. And the government legally classes polumnas (or palmomas, which is the actual name) as consumer class salutes/firecrackers. The reason why these are no longer sold it because they have to be folded by hand, individually, whilst placing flash in a tube takes much less time and can be done with more than one at a time- possibly even done by machine.
AE, the size doesn’t classify something as a bomb, it is actually the destructive power of the device which you are referring to. An original M-80 military simulator device could kill a small animal with ease- this is FAR from an M-80.
Also, I would just like to say that some large maroons use up to 700g of flash powder but still are not considered bombs- so please don’t call this a bomb please ;)
This is not in ANY fucking way a bomb. The worst this could do to anyone, is scare them with a fucking noise. If you think this is a bomb, your sadly mistaken.
Also, I’ve NEVER seen a bomb using paper. Bombs use metal or plastic, for shrapnel and more damage.

1.LOTS of things explode, cars explode, its called an internal combustion engine. Is that bomb? No. Cap guns explode, is that a bomb? No. Matches explode(in your idiotic world theres no such thing as "burning" everything "explodes") Are those bombs? Nope.
2. The line between a firecracker and a bomb, is simple. Bombs don’t entertain anyone, but muslims, which don’t count.
Bombs use metal and plastic casings, firecrackers (should) use paper casings.
